Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Red Chili Prices Up, Onions Down

The prices of several food items in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (August 27, 2025) at 14.18 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include skipjack tuna, red bird''s eye chili, curly red chili, pure beef, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as Minyakita cooking oil, large red chili, SPHP rice, milkfish, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Curly red chili commodity recorded the highest increase of Rp290 (1.0%) to Rp29,256 per kg. Meanwhile, red onion prices saw the sharpest decrease of Rp554 (1.39%) to Rp39,353 per kg.

Below is the complete list of prices for 25 food items in Central Java according to Bapanas on August 27, 2025, at 14.18 WIB.

2. Pure Beef: Rp131,132 per kg (increased 0.34%)
3. Frozen Imported Buffalo Meat: Rp106,725 per kg (unchanged)
4. Red Onion: Rp39,353 per kg (decreased 1.39%)
5. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp34,748 per kg (increased 0.09%)
6. Milkfish: Rp33,500 per kg (decreased 0.04%)
7. Mackerel: Rp33,075 per kg (increased 0.34%)
8. Garlic Bulbs: Rp32,191 per kg (increased 0.05%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,906 per kg (increased 0.22%)
10. Large Red Chili: Rp31,247 per kg (decreased 0.47%)
11. Curly Red Chili: Rp29,256 per kg (increased 1.0%)
12. Red Bird''s Eye Chili: Rp26,703 per kg (increased 0.38%)
13. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,522 per kg (decreased 0.2%)
