West Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Fish Prices Up, Corn Prices Down (Tuesday, December 12, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (12/12/2023) at 11:54 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, broiler chicken, chicken eggs, bulk cooking oil, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, medium rice, pure beef, milkfish, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel prices surged the highest by Rp1,730 (3.8%) to Rp47,290 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most by Rp290 (4.32%) to Rp6,430 per kg.
