Food Prices Today in South Sumatra: Red Chili Up, Onion Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (September 11, 2025) at 13.24 Western Indonesian Time, out of 23 commodities, 13 increased and 7 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include curly red chili, large red chili, consumption salt, broiler eggs, and Minyakita.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as premium rice, mackerel, red onion, bulk wheat flour, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Large red chili commodity saw the highest jump of Rp2,071 (4.41%) to Rp49,071 per kg. Meanwhile, red onion prices experienced the sharpest drop of Rp456 (1.16%) to Rp38,818 per kg.

6. Mackerel: Rp37,719 per kg (down 0.2%)
7. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp35,249 per kg (up 1.49%)
8. Garlic Bulb: Rp34,515 per kg (down 0.79%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,281 per kg (up 0.3%)
