East Java Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall (Friday, March 22, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (22/3/2024) at 09.13 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dried soybean (import), fine iodized salt, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, granulated sugar, premium rice, pure beef, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Fine iodized salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp500 (5.26%) to Rp10,010 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies saw the lowest decrease, dropping Rp2,910 (7.65%) to Rp35,120 per kg.

7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,770 per kg (up 3.32%)
8. Mackerel: Rp31,670 per kg (down 5.83%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp31,090 per kg (up 0.71%)
10. Shallots: Rp26,020 per kg (down 4.86%)
