Latest Food Prices in East Java: Rice and Sugar Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (September 4, 2025) at 08:41 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 8 increased and 17 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are packaged wheat flour, red cayenne pepper, SPHP rice, dried soybean seeds (imported), and Minyakita.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as fresh buffalo meat (local), bulk cooking oil, shallots, pure beef, and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Corn commodity at the farmer level jumped the highest by Rp409 (6.88%) to Rp6,357 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad) dropped the sharpest by Rp120,000 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
