Food Prices Today, December 16, in East Java: Shallot and Cayenne Pepper Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Food Needs Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (December 16, 2025) at 17.02 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 3 increased and 5 decreased.

Commodities with price increases were broiler chicken eggs, broiler chicken meat, and honan garlic.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, red cayenne pepper, shallots, large red chili, and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Honan garlic commodity rose the highest by Rp300 (0.99%) to Rp30,700 per kg. The price of large red chili dropped the most by Rp1,758 (3.82%) to Rp44,242 per kg.

7. Honan Garlic: Rp30,700 per kg (up 0.99%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp30,061 per kg (up 0.3%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,235 per liter (stable)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,168 per liter (stable)
