US President Donald Trump inaugurated the formation of the Board of Peace on Thursday (January 22, 2026).
According to the US presidential office, The White House, this Board of Peace is an international organization committed to building a safe and prosperous future for Gaza, Palestine.
The White House stated that the Board of Peace is ready to mobilize global resources, uphold accountability, and guide demilitarization, governance reform, and large-scale development in Gaza.
"This Board has the chance to be one of the most consequential bodies ever created, and It’s my enormous honor to serve as its Chairman," said US President Donald Trump in a press release on Thursday (January 22, 2026).
"Together, we are in a position to have any credible chance to end decades of suffering, stop generations of hatred and bloodshed, and forge a beautiful, everlasting, and glorious peace for that region," he said.

According to a report by the US news agency, Associated Press, on the first day of the Board of Peace's inauguration, 22 countries besides the US announced their intention to join as members, including Indonesia.
Among the member countries of this organization, the US has the largest economy.
Based on projections from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), calculated using the purchasing power parity (PPP) method, the US's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2025 is projected to reach $30.62 trillion PPP, equivalent to 14.7% of the total global economy.
Indonesia's economy is the second largest, with a projected GDP value of $5.02 trillion PPP, equivalent to 2.4% of global GDP.
Combined, the US and all members of the Board of Peace are projected to have a GDP of $54.36 trillion PPP in 2025, equivalent to 26% of the total global economy.

- United States: $30.62 trillion PPP (14.7% of global GDP)
- Indonesia: $5.02 trillion PPP (2.4%)
- Turkey: $3.77 trillion PPP (1.8%)
- Saudi Arabia: $2.69 trillion PPP (1.3%)
- Egypt: $2.38 trillion PPP (1.1%)
- Vietnam: $1.81 trillion PPP (0.9%)
- Pakistan: $1.67 trillion PPP (0.8%)
- Argentina: $1.49 trillion PPP (0.7%)
- United Arab Emirates: $935.45 billion PPP (0.4%)
- Kazakhstan: $912.59 billion PPP (0.4%)
- Uzbekistan: $473.49 billion PPP (0.2%)
