Jakarta Utara's 2023 Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached Rp631.39 trillion. This represents a 4.16% growth compared to the previous year's Rp587.79 trillion.
Compared to the COVID-19 pandemic year of 2020, the region's economic growth is significantly higher. At the end of 2020, post-COVID, growth recorded a decline of 6.22%.
According to BPS (Statistics Indonesia) publications, with a total population of 1.88 million, the GRDP per capita in this region is recorded at Rp349.03 million/capita/year. Nationally, this ranks 10th.
Of the 17 sectors driving the region's economy, the manufacturing industry is the leading sector.
In 2023, the manufacturing sector in North Jakarta recorded a value of Rp198.7 billion. This is the highest among the 17 sectors, showing a 2.66% growth compared to the previous year's Rp189.48 billion.
Second is the wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles sector, which grew by 4.74% to Rp116.44 billion. Construction is third with a GRDP of Rp86.97 billion (2.66% growth).
Rounding out the top five is the transportation and warehousing sector with a GRDP of Rp34.06 billion. This sector recorded a growth of 5.69% compared to the previous year's Rp30.45 billion.

In terms of distribution, the manufacturing sector contributed the most to GRDP growth in North Jakarta, accounting for 31.23%. Other top five sectors include wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles; construction; corporate services; and real estate.
Sectors with the smallest distribution include Public Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security; Electricity and Gas Supply; Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; Water Supply; Waste Management, Waste and Recycling; and Mining and Quarrying.
