Central Java Food Prices Tuesday (January 7th): Salt Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (7/1/2025) at 11:53 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 4 commodities increased in price and 16 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price are SPHP rice, fine iodized salt, milkfish, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean seeds (import), garlic cloves, premium rice, pure beef, and mackerel have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Fine iodized salt saw the highest price increase of Rp140 (1.31%), reaching Rp10,830 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies saw the sharpest decrease of Rp4,010 (6.79%), reaching Rp55,060 per kg.
