Local Granulated Sugar Prices in Modern Markets for the March 2025-2026 Period

According to the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) panel, the daily local granulated sugar price in modern markets of Central Java province is recorded at Rp16,900 per kg. This price has increased by Rp50 per kg compared to the previous day.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily local granulated sugar price in modern markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp17,350 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily local granulated sugar price in modern markets of Central Java has dropped by 3.43% in the last three months. Based on historical food price records from the PIHPS price panel, the daily local granulated sugar price in modern markets of Central Java province was traded at Rp17,500 per kg.

The record increase in the daily local granulated sugar price in modern markets of this province was previously recorded in February 2017 with an increase of 32.13%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2017 with a decrease of -23.15%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple commodities (sembako) in Central Java show that 18 commodities have decreased and 10 others have increased. The sembako with decreasing prices are Garlic, Granulated Sugar, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Chicken Eggs, Cooking Oil, Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs, Shallots, Super II Quality Rice, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2, Bird's Eye Chili, Medium-sized Shallots, Red Bird's Eye Chili, Medium-sized Garlic, Super I Quality Rice, Red Chili, Large Red Chili, Curly Red Chili and Local Granulated Sugar.

7. Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs per Kg Rp25,000 per kg (down 2.72%)
8. Chicken Meat per Kg Rp45,100 per kg (up 2.38%)
9. Grade 2 Beef per Kg Rp198,750 per kg (up 0.81%)
10. Shallots per Kg Rp38,350 per kg (down 19.85%)
11. Super II Quality Rice per Kg Rp14,600 per kg (down 11.25%)
12. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per Kg Rp20,350 per kg (down 1.69%)
