Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra: Egg and Beef Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday's.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (28/6/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 17 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are broiler chicken, dry soybean (import), iodized fine salt, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, Indian mackerel, medium rice, bulk wheat flour, and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp560 (5.03%), reaching Rp11,700 per kg. Shallots experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp6,150 (15.62%), reaching Rp33,230 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in South Sumatra according to Bapanas on June 28, 2024, at 08.01 WIB.

6. Shallots: Rp33,230 per kg (down 15.62%)
7. Indian Mackerel: Rp28,690 per kg (down 9.35%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,330 per kg (down 0.83%)
9. Milkfish: Rp27,140 per kg (down 0.11%)
10. Skipjack Tuna: Rp26,610 per kg (down 2.35%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,000 per liter (down 0.06%)
