Food Prices in West Sumatra, Wednesday (September 11th): What's the Price of Onions?

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday's.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (11/9/2024) at 13:53 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased in price and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, iodized fine salt, premium rice, dry soybean (import), and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, pure beef, medium rice, garlic cloves, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp200 (1.33%) to Rp15,270 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chilies experienced the sharpest price drop, decreasing Rp2,090 (6.11%) to Rp32,120 per kg.
