Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Chili Prices Up, Egg Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (13/12/2024) at 13.05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, iodized fine salt, red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, farmer-level corn, mackerel, premium rice, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp1,480 (5.28%) to Rp29,520 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of skipjack tuna decreased the most, by Rp3,830 (9.79%) to Rp35,280 per kg.
