Today's Food Prices (Jan 28) in Indonesia: Bird's Eye Chili Up, Onions Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (Jan 28, 2026) at 2:22 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 1 commodity decreased.

The commodities with increased prices are red bird's eye chili, curly red chili, Honan garlic, and large red chili.

Meanwhile, only shallots decreased compared to yesterday's price.

Red bird's eye chili saw the highest increase of Rp600 (1.09%) to Rp55,800 per kg. Meanwhile, shallot prices fell the most by Rp100 (0.23%) to Rp43,500 per kg.
