Current Food Prices in Central Java: Rice, Egg, and Beef Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Thursday (August 21, 2025) at 11:18 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include consumption salt, curly red chili, pure beef, Indian mackerel, and dried soybean seeds (imported).

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as frozen buffalo meat (overseas import), red cayenne pepper, bulk cooking oil, shallots, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Consumption salt prices rose the highest by Rp266 (2.49%) to Rp10,934 per kg. Red cayenne pepper prices dropped the deepest by Rp1,047 (3.69%) to Rp27,353 per kg.

Below is the complete list of 25 food commodity prices in Central Java according to Bapanas on August 21, 2025, at 11:18 AM WIB.
