Current Food Prices in Central Java: Prices of Chili Peppers, Eggs, and Rice Decrease

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (29/3/2025) at 14.52 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 16 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include large red chilies, dry soybean (import), Minyakita, garlic bulbs, and curly red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, broiler chicken meat, packaged cooking oil, shallots, and fresh buffalo meat (local) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The highest price increase was for consumable salt, up by Rp2,493 (22.8%) to Rp13,429 per kg. The sharpest price decrease was for fresh buffalo meat (local), down Rp151,667 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
