Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra: Rice Up, Onions Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (23/12/2024) at 09.44 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased in price and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken meat, chicken eggs, kembung fish, and bandeng fish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), shallots, fine iodized salt, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Medium rice saw the highest price increase of Rp440 (3.61%) to Rp12,620 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most, by Rp390 (6.4%) to Rp5,700 per kg.

9. Bandeng Fish: Rp28,180 per kg (up 2.29%)
10. Tongkol Fish: Rp26,930 per kg (down 0.37%)
