Recreational, Sports, and Cultural Spending in Bekasi City Decreased by 0.03% in April

Recreation and sports spending in Bekasi City decreased by 0.03% in April. Although this represents a decrease, it is still higher than the 4.27% decrease recorded the previous month. Among the nine inflation groups measured in this area, the recreation, sports, and culture group contributed -0.01% to the regional inflation.

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that the consumer price index (CPI) for recreation, sports, and culture in Bekasi City was at 103.25 in April 2024, lower than the previous month's 103.28.

Compared to the same month last year, inflation for recreation, sports, and culture has decreased by 1.95% (year-on-year/YoY). Compared to the beginning of the year, spending in Bekasi City has experienced a growth of -0.03% (year-to-date/YTD).

Based on BPS survey data for April 2024, these 11 inflation groups ranked eighth compared to other subgroups.

The following is the inflation of the recreation, sports, and culture subgroups measured by BPS for April in Bekasi City:

* Other recreation and sports goods group: -0.03%
* Recreation, sports, and culture group: -0.01%

Compared to 34 other regencies/cities, the highest inflation for recreation, sports, and culture occurred in Madiun City, down 0.45% with a CPI of 99.81, and the lowest occurred in Bungo Regency at 0.95% with a CPI of 109.43. Bekasi City ranked 22nd.

National inflation (general) in April 2024 was 0.3%, down from the previous month (month-to-month/M-to-M). Compared to the beginning of the year, national general inflation reached 1.15% (YTD), and compared to April 2023, inflation decreased by 7.27% (YoY).
