East Java Food Prices on Monday (December 2nd): Onion Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (2/12/2024) at 09.12 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased in price and 14 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price are premium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, medium rice, granulated sugar, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, pure beef, chicken eggs, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) saw the highest price increase of Rp620 (6.31%) to Rp10,450 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the most, by Rp2,390 (13.17%) to Rp15,760 per kg.

6. Milkfish: Rp30,070 per kg (down 7.62%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp26,530 per kg (down 10.22%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,020 per kg (down 1.11%)
9. Red Chili Peppers: Rp24,140 per kg (down 2.43%)
10. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,230 per liter (up 0.17%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp16,930 per kg (up 1.01%)
12. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp16,870 per liter (down 0.88%)
