Of the 17 sectors driving economic activity in this regency, agriculture, forestry, and fisheries are the leading sectors.
Agriculture, forestry, and fisheries contributed the largest share to the GRDP in 2023, reaching Rp2.38 trillion. This represents a 2.41% growth.
Following this is the public administration, defense, and compulsory social security sector, which grew by 6.2% to Rp823.54 billion. Wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles ranked third with a GRDP of Rp536.41 billion (3.11% growth).
Rounding out the top five is the construction sector with a GRDP of Rp337.03 billion. This sector recorded a 5.2% growth compared to the previous year's Rp310.95 billion.
