Household Goods, Equipment, and Routine Maintenance Costs in Kota Baru Regency Increased by 2.91% in April

In April, the price of glassware and tableware in Kabupaten/Kota Baru contributed 2.91% to inflation. This is higher than the previous month's -13.49%. Among the five inflation groups measured in this area, household furnishings, equipment, and routine maintenance contributed 0.36% to inflation in Kabupaten/Kota Baru.

Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) reported that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for household furnishings, equipment, and routine maintenance in Kabupaten/Kota Baru was 103.58 in April 2024, higher than the previous month's 100.65.

Compared to the same month last year (year-on-year/YoY), inflation for household furnishings, equipment, and routine maintenance decreased by 10.98%. Compared to the beginning of the year (year-to-date/YTD), prices contributing to inflation in Kabupaten/Kota Baru have grown by 2.91%.

Compared to 11 other groups, this inflation group ranked fourth.

The following are the sub-group inflation rates for household furnishings, equipment, and routine maintenance measured by BPS in Kabupaten/Kota Baru for April:

* Household appliances: 1.02%
* Goods and services for routine household maintenance: 0.08%
* Household furnishings, equipment, and routine maintenance: 0.36%

Compared to 52 other regencies/cities, the highest inflation for household furnishings, equipment, and routine maintenance occurred in Kota Kupang, down 0.6% with a CPI of 94.86, and the lowest in Kabupaten Wonosobo, down 0.12% with a CPI of 113.13. Kabupaten/Kota Baru ranked third.

Indonesia's inflation in April 2024 was 0.3% month-on-month and -7.27% year-on-year. Although lower than the previous month's inflation, this monthly inflation rate was not as high as the same period last year, which was 4.33%.
