Sumatra Barat Food Prices Thursday (November 28th): Chicken Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (28/11/2024) at 12:09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, medium rice, garlic bulbs, bulk cooking oil, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, dry soybean (import), and fine iodized salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken prices surged the highest by Rp1,300 (3.52%) to Rp38,260 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices fell the most sharply by Rp5,070 (13.63%) to Rp32,120 per kg.
