East Java Food Prices Wednesday (17/7): Salt Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (17/7/2024) at 14.27 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, curly red chilies, milkfish, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, shallots, bulk wheat flour, chicken eggs, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp600 (6.54%) to Rp9,770 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most, by Rp130 (2.57%) to Rp4,930 per kg.
