West Java Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down (Saturday, February 17, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (17/2/2024) at 11.04 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, red chilies, chicken eggs, farmer-level corn, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, bulk wheat flour, pure beef, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest by Rp7,690 (12.79%) to Rp67,800 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of iodized fine salt decreased the most by Rp380 (3.66%) to Rp10,010 per kg.
