Food Prices Today, February 04, in West Java: Bird's Eye Chili Up, Oil Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the Ministry of Trade's Staple Food Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (4/2/2026) at 13:25 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 5 increased and 3 decreased.

Commodities with price increases were bird's eye chili, broiler chicken eggs, curly red chili, shallots, and large red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as Honan garlic, Minyakita cooking oil, and broiler chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bird's eye chili saw the highest jump of Rp5,550 (8.27%) to Rp72,650 per kg. Minyakita cooking oil price, on the other hand, experienced the deepest drop of Rp70 (0.45%) to Rp15,630 per liter.

6. Curly Red Chili: Rp35.917 per kg (up 1.46%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp35.867 per kg (down 0.42%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28.292 per kg (up 0.53%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20.408 per liter (unchanged)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp17.995 per liter (unchanged)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17.525 per kg (unchanged)
12. Minyakita: Rp15.630 per liter (down 0.45%)
