Food Prices in D.I Yogyakarta Today: Red Chili Prices Up, Cayenne Pepper Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in D.I Yogyakarta today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (4/10/2025) at 14.30 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 13 increased and 9 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include mackerel, bulk cooking oil, milkfish, large red chilies, and dried soybean seeds (imported).

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as red onions, medium rice, bulk wheat flour, Minyakita cooking oil, and packaged wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chilies experienced the highest surge of Rp2,581 (5.41%) to Rp50,273 per kg. Meanwhile, red cayenne pepper prices dropped the deepest by Rp906 (2.73%) to Rp32,316 per kg.
