Current Food Prices in West Java: Chicken Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (9/5/2024) at 13:30 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), farmer-level corn, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), simple packaged cooking oil, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, shallots, curly red chilies, premium rice, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase of Rp160 (3.06%) to Rp5,390 per kg. Meanwhile, red chilies saw the lowest price decrease of Rp1,630 (4.3%) to Rp36,310 per kg.
