Current Indonesian Food Prices, How Much Does Onion Cost?

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (24/5/2024) at 13.37 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 16 commodities increased in price and 4 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, premium rice, fine iodized salt, pure beef, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, shallots, chicken eggs, and corn at the farmer level decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp690 (2.12%) to Rp33,200 per kg. Chicken eggs saw the lowest price decrease, down by Rp110 (0.36%) to Rp30,300 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 20 food commodities in Indonesia according to Bapanas as of May 24, 2024, at 13.37 WIB.
