Central Java Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall (Wednesday, February 21, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (21/2/2024) at 11:19 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 15 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, bulk wheat flour, iodized fine salt, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, broiler chicken, pure beef, medium rice, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp780 (6.57%) to Rp12,650 per kg. Meanwhile, mackerel experienced the lowest price decrease, dropping by Rp2,420 (7.25%) to Rp30,980 per kg.
