Food Prices in West Java Tuesday (Aug 26): Chicken Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today were observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (Aug 26, 2025) at 06.39 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 20 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases were pure beef, broiler chicken meat, milkfish, and dried soybeans (imported).

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as medium rice, premium rice, red onions, garlic bulbs, and packaged wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Broiler chicken meat commodity surged the highest by Rp3,638 (10.59%) to Rp38,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red onions dropped the sharpest by Rp41,208 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
