Chili Pepper Prices in North Kalimantan Highest in Indonesia (Friday, April 28, 2023)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of chili peppers (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces reaching Rp 80,880 per kg, as of Friday, April 28, 2023. Overall, the average this week increased compared to last week's average of Rp 72,980 per kg.

The daily price of chili peppers in modern markets in North Kalimantan was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 162,500 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of chili peppers in this province is higher; previously recorded at Rp 57,150 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in Papua, chili peppers were sold at Rp 117,250 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of chili peppers in South Kalimantan was Rp 116,150 per kg, East Kalimantan Rp 105,050 per kg, and Bangka Belitung Islands Rp 104,350 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 16 provinces with chili pepper sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for chili peppers are South Sulawesi, North Sumatra, and West Sulawesi.
