10 Provinces with the Highest Shallot Prices (Friday, May 12, 2023)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of shallots (per kg) in modern markets in several provinces reaching Rp 54,390 per kg, data as of Friday, May 12, 2023. Overall, the average this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 51,220 per kg.

The daily price of shallots in modern markets in West Papua was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 72,500 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of shallots in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 42,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in North Maluku, shallots were sold at Rp 69,200 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of shallots in East Kalimantan was Rp 66,100 per kg, Southeast Sulawesi Rp 64,950 per kg, and Banten Rp 64,250 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 16 provinces with shallot sales prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest shallot selling prices are West Sulawesi, North Kalimantan, and Riau Islands.
