Red Chili Prices in North Kalimantan are the Highest in Indonesia (Tuesday, January 25, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of red chilies (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces reaching Rp 66,620 per kg, as of Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Overall, the average this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 66,490 per kg.

The daily price of red chilies in modern markets in North Kalimantan was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 137,500 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of red chilies in this province has not changed. The highest selling price ever recorded in this region is Rp 137,500 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in East Kalimantan, red chilies were sold at Rp 101,450 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of red chilies in Gorontalo was Rp 86,500 per kg, Bangka Belitung Islands Rp 81,400 per kg, and West Kalimantan Rp 78,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are nine provinces with red chili sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for red chilies are North Maluku, West Sumatra, and Aceh.
