Latest Food Prices in East Java: Red Chili Prices Rise, Buffalo Meat Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have fallen compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (October 9, 2025) at 12:46 PM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 8 increased and 17 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include broiler eggs, mackerel, curly red chili, bulk wheat flour, and consumption salt.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour, SPHP rice, skipjack tuna, consumption sugar, and Minyakita decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili saw the highest increase of Rp922 (1.85%) to Rp50,868 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad) experienced the sharpest drop of Rp120,000 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
