Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra: Oil and Chicken Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (14/6/2024) at 08.34 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, milkfish, iodized fine salt, chicken eggs, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, granulated sugar, medium rice, farmer-level corn, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices increased the most, by Rp1,200 (4.38%) to Rp28,600 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili pepper prices decreased the most, by Rp4,650 (9.47%) to Rp44,440 per kg.

5. Garlic Bulb: Rp41,600 per kg (up 3.02%)
6. Broiler Chicken: Rp33,990 per kg (up 1.28%)
7. Mackerel: Rp30,110 per kg (down 6.46%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,650 per kg (up 2.69%)
9. Milkfish: Rp28,600 per kg (up 4.38%)
10. Skipjack Tuna: Rp27,590 per kg (up 0.69%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,660 per kg (down 0.9%)
