Clothing and Footwear Inflation in Cirebon City, May: 0.12%

In May, the price of clothing components contributing to inflation in Cirebon City was 0.12%. This figure is lower than the previous month's 0.89%. Among the eight inflation groups measured in this region, the clothing and footwear group contributed -0.06% to regional inflation.

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that the consumer price index (CPI) for clothing and footwear in Cirebon City was at 103.19 in May 2024, higher than the previous month's 103.07.

Compared to the same month last year, clothing and footwear inflation has fallen by 4.05% (year-on-year/yoy). Compared to the beginning of the year, the prices of components contributing to inflation in Cirebon City have grown by 1.19% (year-to-date/ytd).

According to BPS survey data from May 2024, these 11 inflation groups ranked fifth compared to other subgroups.

National inflation (general) in April 2024 was 0.3%, down from the previous month (month-to-month/m-to-m). Compared to the beginning of the year, national general inflation reached 1.15% (ytd), and compared to April 2023, inflation fell by 7.27% (yoy).
