Latest Food Prices in East Java: Salt Prices Up, Red Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Referring to the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (August 13, 2025) at 10:35 AM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include broiler chicken meat, consumption salt, medium rice, Minyakita cooking oil, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as curly red chili, farmer-level corn, red cayenne pepper, skipjack tuna, and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Consumption salt surged the highest by Rp296 (3.17%) to Rp9,645 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish prices dropped the sharpest by Rp2,320 (7.09%) to Rp30,394 per kg.

7. Curly Red Chili: Rp30,889 per kg (down 3.39%)
8. Garlic Cloves: Rp30,833 per kg (up 2.41%)
9. Milkfish: Rp30,394 per kg (down 7.09%)
