Current Food Prices in Central Java: Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (30/8/2024) at 16.13 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, skipjack tuna, iodized fine salt, shallot bulbs, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, broiler chicken, SPHP rice, bulk wheat flour, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp600 (5.34%) to Rp11,830 per kg. Red chilies experienced the steepest price drop of Rp1,330 (4.55%) to Rp27,910 per kg.

6. Mackerel: Rp31,210 per kg (up 0.19%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,180 per kg (up 0.26%)
8. Red Chilies: Rp27,910 per kg (down 4.55%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,740 per kg (down 0.46%)
10. Red Onions: Rp22,030 per kg (down 0.9%)
