Food Prices in West Sumatra, Monday (December 2nd): What's the Price of Chicken?

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (2/12/2024) at 12:09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk wheat flour, SPHP rice, bulk cooking oil, granulated sugar, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, medium rice, milkfish, whole garlic cloves, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of skipjack tuna saw the highest increase, jumping Rp890 (2.49%) to Rp36,660 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies saw the steepest decrease, dropping Rp3,160 (8.44%) to Rp34,300 per kg.
