Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chicken Price Up, Chili Price Down

The price of several food commodities in South Sumatra today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (16/8/2024) at 10:25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, milkfish, premium rice, curly red chili, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken prices saw the highest increase of Rp640 (2.04%) to Rp32,030 per kg. Curly red chili prices experienced the largest decrease of Rp1,230 (2.79%) to Rp42,810 per kg.
