Food Prices in South Sumatra Saturday (18/10), What is the Price of Red Chili?

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (18/10/2025) at 13:55 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 11 increased and 11 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include garlic bulbs, mackerel, shallots, curly red chili, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour, packaged cooking oil, consumption sugar, bulk wheat flour, and consumption salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili saw the highest increase of Rp1,058 (2.15%) to Rp50,328 per kg. The price of large red chili experienced the sharpest decrease of Rp1,225 (2.66%) to Rp44,852 per kg.
