Red Onion Prices in Traditional Markets for the Period February 2025-2026

According to the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) panel, the daily red onion price in traditional markets of South Kalimantan is recorded at Rp27,35 thousand. This price has remained unchanged compared to the previous day and also over the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily red onion price in traditional markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp27,25 thousand.

Meanwhile, the daily red onion price in traditional markets in South Kalimantan has decreased by 53.72% over the past three months. Based on historical food price records from the PIHPS price panel, the daily red onion price in traditional markets of South Kalimantan was traded at Rp59,1 thousand.

The record increase in daily red onion prices in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in May 2022 with a 39.69% rise, and the lowest decrease was recorded in July 2022 with an 18.39% drop.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple foods (sembako) in South Kalimantan show seven commodities have decreased and five have increased. The sembako with price decreases are Fresh Commercial Chicken Eggs, Chicken Eggs, Red Onions, Large Red Chilies, Medium-sized Garlic, Garlic, and Medium-sized Red Onions.
