Today's Food Prices February 24 in East Java: Sugar Rises, Bird's Eye Chili Falls

Some food commodity prices in East Java today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (February 24, 2026) at 18:05 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 8 decreased.

The commodities that saw price increases are beef rump, bulk granulated sugar, and shallots.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, broiler chicken meat, large red chili, curly red chili, and red bird's eye chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk granulated sugar saw the highest increase of Rp23 (0.14%) to Rp16,384 per kg. Meanwhile, red bird's eye chili prices dropped the most by Rp4,717 (5.46%) to Rp81,649 per kg.

6. Honan Garlic: Rp30,994 per kg (down 0.54%)
7. Large Red Chili: Rp30,461 per kg (down 2.17%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,302 per kg (down 0.16%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,079 per liter (down 0.06%)
