Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Red Chilies Up, Buffalo Meat Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (2/4/2025) at 17:52 WIB, out of 24 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized salt, curly red chilies, large red chilies, SPHP rice, and packaged wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, farmer-level corn, milkfish, broiler chicken, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp11,413 (19.69%), reaching Rp69,364 per kg. Milkfish experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp37,500 (100.0%), reaching Rp0 per kg.
