Daily Prices of Curly Red Chilies at Modern Markets in East Kalimantan Province Have Decreased by 7.93% in the Last Month

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of curly red chilies in modern markets in East Kalimantan Province is recorded at Rp139,300 per kg. This price is up Rp14,700 per kg compared to the previous day.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of curly red chilies in modern markets has decreased from Rp151,300 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of curly red chilies in modern markets in East Kalimantan over the past three months has fallen by 10.88%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of curly red chilies in modern markets in East Kalimantan Province was traded at Rp156,300 per kg.

The record high for the daily price of curly red chilies in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in December 2021 with an increase of 50.45%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in May 2017 with a decrease of -38.2%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in East Kalimantan show ten commodities decreased and three increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are Fresh Layer Eggs, Super I Quality Rice, Red Chili, Large Red Chili, Curly Red Chili, Chicken Eggs, Red Chili Peppers, Chili Peppers, Green Chili Peppers, and Local Sugar.

The following are the prices of basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price developments over the past month in East Kalimantan Province:

2. Rice per kg: Rp16,000 per kg (unchanged)

6. Grade 1 Beef per kg: Rp185,900 per kg (unchanged)
7. Fresh Layer Eggs per kg: Rp38,600 per kg (down 8.64%)
8. Grade I Low Quality Rice per kg: Rp15,300 per kg (unchanged)
9. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per kg: Rp20,950 per kg (up 0.72%)
10. Garlic per kg: Rp77,450 per kg (unchanged)
11. Sugar per kg: Rp17,700 per kg (unchanged)
