Today's Food Prices in West Java on March 20: Chicken Meat, Rice and Sugar Prices Rise

Several food commodity prices in West Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (March 20, 2026) at 17:28 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 13 increased and 1 decreased.

Commodities that saw price increases include premium rice, broiler chicken meat, curly red chili, bulk palm cooking oil, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, only red cayenne pepper decreased compared to yesterday's price.

Large red chili prices jumped the highest by Rp1,984 (3.19%) to Rp64,182 per kg. Meanwhile, red cayenne pepper prices fell the most by Rp262 (0.28%) to Rp94,784 per kg.

2. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp94,784 per kg (down 0.28%)
3. Large Red Chili: Rp64,182 per kg (up 3.19%)
4. Curly Red Chili: Rp49,438 per kg (up 3.01%)
5. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp44,231 per kg (up 2.91%)
6. Shallots: Rp41,259 per kg (up 1.0%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp35,657 per kg (up 0.93%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp31,160 per kg (up 0.24%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,644 per liter (up 0.03%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,143 per liter (up 0.09%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,772 per kg (up 0.25%)
