Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Onion and Rice Prices Decrease

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (16/9/2025) at 13:23 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 10 increased and 11 decreased.

Commodities with price increases were broiler chicken meat, consumption salt, Minyakita cooking oil, skipjack tuna, and consumption sugar.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as milkfish, garlic bulb, packaged cooking oil, mackerel scad, and red bird''s eye chili decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Consumption salt saw the highest jump of Rp99 (0.91%) to Rp10,940 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chili dropped the deepest by Rp3,417 (4.69%) to Rp69,470 per kg.

9. Milkfish: Rp28,305 per kg (down 0.43%)
