East Java Food Price Update Today: Onion Prices Rise, Rice Prices Fall (Saturday, February 24, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (24/2/2024) at 08.14 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 17 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, granulated sugar, shallots, milkfish, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, premium rice, and Indian mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp2,740 (10.34%) to Rp29,230 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp600 (7.39%) to Rp7,520 per kg.

6. Milkfish: Rp33,590 per kg (up 2.07%)
7. Indian Mackerel: Rp31,050 per kg (down 6.39%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,750 per kg (up 1.25%)
9. Shallots: Rp29,230 per kg (up 10.34%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,380 per kg (up 1.07%)
