Latest Banten Region Food Prices: Rice Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (12/8/2024) at 2:48 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are dry soybean (import), medium rice, premium rice, chicken eggs, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged cooking oil, chicken meat, granulated sugar, SPHP rice, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Premium rice saw the highest price increase of Rp250 (1.7%) to Rp14,930 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most sharply by Rp490 (6.29%) to Rp7,300 per kg.
