Food Prices Today in D.I. Yogyakarta: Rice, Onion, and Sugar Prices Increase

Prices of several food commodities in D.I. Yogyakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency's (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (October 17, 2025) at 2:30 PM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include mackerel, packaged cooking oil, shallots, Minyakita, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as large red chili, dried soybean seeds (imported), consumption salt, skipjack tuna, and red cayenne pepper decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest increase of Rp747 (2.06%) to Rp37,080 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices dropped the sharpest by Rp1,700 (3.27%) to Rp50,300 per kg.

6. Shallots: Rp37,080 per kg (up 2.06%)
7. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp36,816 per kg (up 0.65%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp35,467 per kg (down 0.09%)
9. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp31,800 per kg (down 1.31%)
10. Garlic Bulb: Rp30,231 per kg (up 0.24%)
11. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp30,048 per kg (up 0.16%)
